The TCC and ERDM

The Technical Corrosion Collaboration (TCC) is a Congressionally supported Research and Development effort.

Starting in 2007, the Department of Defense partnered with academic corrosion scientists to identify serious corrosion problems, research corrosion mitigation, and to collaborate on technologies and applications required for DoD aircraft, vehicles, and facilities.

The TCC has grown to include collaboration between the DoD and 11 Universities, including The Ohio State University, The University of Virginia, The University of Akron, The University of Southern Mississippi, The University of Hawaii, The U.S. Air Force Academy, The Naval Postgraduate School, The U.S. Naval Academy, The Air Force Institute of Technology, The U.S. Military Academy at West Point, and the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.

ERDM, or Engineering Resource Data Management, is an archiving and documentation tool created  in order to bridge communication and foster collaboration between the DoD and TCC Universities, made available by the Office of the Secretary of Defense Corrosion Policy and Oversight Office (OSD CPO). Through ERDM, research students, principal investigators, and administrators are given a sizable online storage space where they can efficiently and securely upload, update, and manage their research-related documents. Running on the power of Google Apps, ERDM also offers deep collaboration tools, user communication, and much more.
